Castle nuts are slotted above the hexagon nut, and there are six large slots 60° apart in the center of the top of the plane.
It is usually used to fix the position of the wheel bearing on the main shaft, and fix the front and rear axles of the vehicle by fastening the screws through the front and rear axles, so that the frame and tires are fixed together. It works with eyebolts and cotter pins.
